AUTO EXPO 2018 ""CBR 250R""
The 2018 Honda CBR250R fully faired sportsbike is one of the 6 models in the manufacturer’s domestic portfolio to receive an upgrade at the ongoing Auto Expo in Noida. The CBR250R has been struggling to keep pace with new arrivals in the rapidly growing segment and Honda is hoping to bring the nameplate back to the front line with the facelifted model.
The most significant update comes in the from of full LED headlamp and two new color options – Mars Orange and Striking Green – with contrasting graphics. Nothing much has changed visually.
In terms of hardware too, the CBR250R continues untouched except for the engine which is now compliant to BS4 emission norms. The 249 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit continues to pump out 25.15 hp and 22.9 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Interestingly, HMSI’s official website does not list the 2018 Honda CBR250R yet. We expect the new iteration to go on sale in the coming weeks with an estimated price tag of about INR 1.65 lakhs (ex-showroom).
