British motorcycle manufacturer to bring flagship naked motorcycle with a big 1050cc heart to India soon. We expect it to be priced around Rs 12 lakh

Since making its debut in India in 2013, Triumph Motorcycles has been on a roll in witnessing a 67 per cent jump in demand in 2016. The British motorcycle maker launched the new 2017 Triumph Street Triple S in our market recently and is now gearing up to expand its portfolio. Triumph will launch the new Speed Triple, its flagship naked motorcycle, in India this September. The Speed Triple made its official debut at the 2015 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy. In terms of styling, the Speed Triple carries forward the same design language as its predecessor, but gets sharper headlamps with in-built DRLs, LED turn indicators, twin seats, bar-end mirrors, a narrower but sharper-looking fuel tank and dual matte black under-seat exhaust with aluminium heat shields. The Speed Triple gets a semi-digital instrument console although we would have preferred the 5-inch TFT display seen on the recently launched Street Triple Rand Street Triple RS
